My name is Jennifer Bender, primary caregiver and slave to all our beautiful animals. I am a busy mother of a beautiful daughter. I have many hobbies including sewing, web-design, photography, and caring for all my beautiful animals to name a few. I also attend college full time at Youngstown State University.

We reside in the quiet rural town of Dorset, Ohio, which is about 1 1/2 hours east of Cleveland, Ohio and about 1 hour north of Youngstown, Ohio. Our entire family has always enjoyed being around animals from a young age. I am glad to see our daughter has the same love and respect for animals. Morgan, our adorable daughter, helps me raise and handle all of our little animals everyday. I want the best for all of the animals that leave our home, and screen each potential owner to ensure that. Each animal we raise is loved, and is instantly part of our family. We have also become an unofficial rescue, as we will never turn away a sugar glider or hedgehog in need of a home or proper care.

We are a family operated USDA licensed breeder of Sugar gliders. This is my hobby, but at the same time it tends to be a full time job. I spend a lot of time educating potential owners, maintaining our web sites, making toys for my wonderful animals, and caring for them. My daughter and I spend several hours each day bonding, handling, and playing with all of our animal friends and their babies. Specializing in sugar glider color variations, we are currently working with white faces, leucistic, cinnamons, champagnes, and white tips. Our goal is to establish strong bloodlines and breed new and unique color variations while maintaining excellent records to track bloodlines. Not only do we consider color and genetics when pairing all of our animals, but temperament as well. I am a firm believer that temperament in partially inherited and partly learned from the parents. Not only does this apply for sugar gliders, but in all animals. Although, by handling, love, and patience, I believe most behavior problems can be corrected.

In addition to our sugar gliders we also have a bunch of other animals including 3 dogs (1 mixed breed and 2 chihuahuas), 1 bird (yellow-sided conure), 2 flying squirrels (southern), some fish, and several chickens!
